Welcome to SAFA, or welcome back to SAFA!
We are the SAIT Academic Faculty Association, a union of over 1,000 adjunct, casual, and salaried academic staff who are instructors, counsellors, librarians, and educational developers. SAFA’s job is to negotiate and enforce the Collective Agreement that governs your terms of work, as well as represent your interests to SAIT management and the provincial government.
We’ve attached a New Member Package which provides an overview of SAFA including its role, purpose, and services, as well as other relevant information regarding rights for all members and benefits for salaried employees. Regular updates for activities, the latest Collective Agreement, contact info for your representative, and association news is posted on this website on a regular basis.
Some of you reading this message may be brand new to SAIT, others may have a new assignment – we recommend that you take a moment to review your contract and the SAFA Collective Agreement to learn more about the rights, responsibilities, and benefits available to you in your new role. If you have any questions, please reach out to your SAFA representative or email [email protected].
In solidarity,
