Frequently Asked Question
Question: Where or how do I find my vacation balances?
The Answer is a bit more complicated than it used to be but let me see if I can bring a bit of clarity to it.
Pre banner 9 roll out, faculty filled out a paper HR 11 form and sent it off for approval from their chair. The nice part was there were leave code examples (code 130 was Christmas leave) or (code 123 was casual sick leave) on the form.
Post banner 9 roll out, July 2 and forward, there are no longer paper HR 11 forms. You now log into MY SAIT and fill out an electronic leave request and send it off to your chair for approval. Nothing has really changed in the process but now the format is different and that has moved us into the 21 st century.
The one thing you will notice is there no longer is leave code numbers, however, the leave titles for the most part have remained the same with a couple of exceptions that would not really have an effect on you.
Within the leave portal in your MY SAIT you have the ability to see leave balances and run a report if you wish to do so.
This is how you can see your used and unused balances.
If you are having difficulty with this please see your chair or your hr rep for your school. If you are having no luck with that please see me in the SAFA office and I can walk you through it.
