Year End Performance Review
Hello Faculty:
Firstly, I would like to thank all those who took time to vote last Thursday and for your confidence in me for another term.
Some house cleaning issues have popped up for the normal end of year work – year end performance reviews is one of those items.
As you know, this year faculty moved from the old paper based process to the online process we have today. I have worked with Meghan Donohoe, the Associate Director, Talent Management in Employee Services to help simplify and stream line the year-end review process for the circumstances we now find ourselves in, and thank her for her time and commitment to make this an easy issue to deal with this year.
You can complete your self-review by logging into PeopleNOW (you must be on VPN to access this system). Note, there was some initial technical difficulties, so if you attempted to complete the review earlier this week, please try again as things are now working.
I have added the FAQ and a brief PowerPoint from her to help explain the simplified process — the same documents have been shared with the deans and the chairs. One of the big questions will be “I am now on vacation, do I still need to complete this?” the answer is simple — “No”.
If you are still working and not on vacation then reach out to your Academic Chair to complete the process. If you are on vacation, no worries, the year-end performance review can be completed when you return. The key goal of year end performance is having the conversation with your chair and the timelines in the attached PowerPoint are simply guidelines. You can find additional information and tips on SAITNOW.
One last housekeeping issue I would ask all faculty to do ourselves a favour and spend 10 minutes in the first week of July to fill out our vacation reports in banner for the May/June period to ensure that there are no mistakes going forward.
